CASE STUDY 01 / EDUCATION & SIMULATION

Printing Equipment Training

From understanding the machine to completing the job.

3D equipment · Software simulation · Skills assessment · Teaching tools

KONICA C12000 / Course learning and hands-on 3D practice share one starting point.

THE BRIEF

Make room for practice beyond the physical machine.

Learning to operate a digital press means understanding its parts, software settings and sequence of operations. Limited machines, consumables and classroom time make repeated practice difficult. We connected these elements in one system: explore the equipment, practice with guidance, then complete tasks independently and review the results.

01 / EQUIPMENT EXPLORATION

Explore the machine, one component at a time.

Rotate the complete press, focus on components and reveal their structure. Learners explore the paper supply, print engine, cooling unit and output tray in context. Names and explanations connect to the 3D objects, while opening doors and extending trays makes their function tangible.

8-SECOND CAPTURE / Assembled machine → click to explode → orbit the internal structure.

02 / SOFTWARE & EQUIPMENT

Connect software settings to the machine and the task.

The machine panel, print management software and 3D equipment form a connected training environment. Exercises cover paper and tray settings, duplex registration, hot folders, color calibration and ICC workflows. Step guidance and state feedback explain how the operations connect. Measurements and configuration results are simulated for learning the procedure.

6-SECOND CAPTURE / Open the machine panel from the 3D scene, then its paper settings. The still image shows simulated color measurement.

03 / PRACTICE TO ASSESSMENT

Build confidence with guidance. Then work independently.

The same workflow supports three levels of assistance. Training provides step-by-step guidance; self-test retains tasks and key steps; examination asks learners to complete the task independently. The final review brings together the score, active time, completed steps and action log so learners and teachers can understand how the task was completed.

  1. 01
    Training

Follow step-by-step guidance to learn the procedure.

  2. 02
    Self-test

Practice with tasks and key steps, relying less on detailed guidance.

  3. 03
    Examination

Complete the task independently, then review the result.

TRAINING FEEDBACK / A functional test of the power-cycle exercise, showing the result summary and log access.

04 / TEACHING ADMINISTRATION

Practice for learners. Oversight for teachers.

Each practice session belongs to the learner’s account and records the exercise, mode, score and time. Learners can review their history in the personal center. The companion administration system manages users and classes, learning content, question banks and exams, connecting 3D practice to the teaching workflow.

LEARNING RECORDS / A client–server integration test, showing exercises and completion history by account.

WHAT THE PROJECT BRINGS TOGETHER

Turn a 3D model into a working training system.

Equipment modeling, simulated software, operating rules, task feedback and administration work together. The machine becomes something to practice on, each action contributes to an assessable result, and teaching content can be maintained over time.
